The heart rate monitor is a small, circular module that is 12mm in height and 38mm in diameter. In the highly unlikely event there is a high impact directly on the module the player may feel moderate pain. However, the module sits securely on the chest strap and does not protrude far from the player’s chest. These belts have been used at various levels of the professional game for over 10 years and have not been the direct cause for a serious injury. With proper education, this technology can assist to prevent far more chronic injuries from overtraining, overuse and burnout to youth players in the future.
