Team Captain Functionality:
This function allows you, the coach, to appoint one (or more) captains for your team roster. By appointing them captains it allows that player to sign into the Beyond Pulse for Coaches App (using his/her player credentials) and sync a session for the team! This can be useful for busy coaches who are prepping their session, or conversing with other staff at session start, or for those of you (and we know you exist) who are just forgetful. Don't worry, you're not to blame, we just want you to have that fall back option to get the Beyond Pulse data you love.

Be careful not to start multiple sessions simultaneously - your session will be composed of the latest start command and the earliest end command.
To Add a Captain
1. From the Dashboard page, click: Manage --> Teams
2. Select the team from the list for which you wish to add a Captain.
3. In the player list, you will see a column with designate checkboxes for each player you wish to name as Team Captain.
Exceptions:
A player may NOT be selected as a captain if:
1. He/She does not have an activated account:
In this case, no activation means no login credentials, and thus its impossible for them to login, both to their Beyond Pulse for Players App, in addition to the Beyond Pulse for Coaches app as a Team Captain.
2. The player is registered under a Parental Account:
In this scenario a parent may have multiple children playing for different clubs, teams or age groups, all of which is tied to their one email address. Giving access here would create confusion for parents. Which of my kids has captain capability, which does not, what teams are they on etc. We also know parents may not enter the field of play, thus to start and stop the app and sync the session would not be a reliable process.
Things to Try:
Do you have a parent manager or someone you outside your coaching staff that trust to start and sync a session but don't want them to see the data for the entire team in an email?
Create a Player Account for them and do not assign a Belt ID. After activation, add them as a captain!
Benefits:
- They can start and stop the session, but do not receive the post session reports
- Hands off for you and your staff.
